Love the nesting visual.
Counting backwards...so crucial to developing understanding of number relationships!
One of my plus twos this year saw big improvement in her kids by doing a daily counting circle.
Stacy - that's exciting! Classroom counting routines are so powerful!
I'm anxiously waiting for this book to be delivered. :)
Amy, You will LOVE the book!
She saw each row as a group of 5
She knew she could count by fives
She recognized the pattern
I was enjoying her adorable accent. she did a good job counting by 5s
She seemed to use the rows as a way of keeping track of the skip counts
3, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12
3, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12
Fun! Count around!
It that like a jump around (haha).
I love count arounds!
We count around every Tuesday.....My kids love it
These counting activities are great for doing when kids are in line, traveling to a location or in small groups with an assistant.
Maximize your time. Increase practice.
Going backwards is a challenge!
I use the N-tiles to do this counting. It's amazing how quickly the kids catch on to to patterns!
Love Love Love this visual
Yes, I agree Sloan
The power of technology
There is a pattern
I love seeing the numbers with the ten frames!
Skip-counting forward and backward by 5
It was adding 5 each time
I wonder why a full ten frame was not filled up before moving on to another.
All of the numbers in the number grid ended in 5 or 0
This will help the students see the relationship between counting by 5's and by 10's
Those visuals are really neat!
They can also see how 5 lives within the 10
The positioning of the dots matches the order of the numbers
Again, a powerful visual!
I'd love to see how kids would respond to this visual.
Love the enthusiasm of the girls. Great at home game for a family to play.
